2. Reclarify Purpose and Impact
Remind your team why their work matters. Connecting individual tasks to broader company goals or customer outcomes can reignite motivation. A quick “Here’s how your work made a difference this week” can go a long way. Former team expert Richard Hackman, of Harvard University, used to say that one of the critical underlying pieces of successful team design was a “Compelling Purpose” – a clear, shared statement of what the task was and why it was important.
